Monstera wall. Charcoal blazer. Candlelight.
Shot in Nashville in June 2024, Forested Full Moons is an interior shoot built around living walls of tropical foliage - monstera and fern packed floor to ceiling against bare wood paneling, a candlelit room next door, and a floor-to-ceiling rope installation that hangs like roots or braids. Thirteen frames, one look: an open charcoal blazer over a bare chest, layered chain necklaces, tactical cargo pants with hanging straps, combat boots, silver-dyed braids. The title outruns what survives in this set. The shoot did include moon photography - the "full moons" of the name - but those frames were cut before the album was finalized, leaving the thirteen that remain to carry a title none of them individually support.
The greenery does most of the work. Pressed in from the side, dense monstera crowds the edge of the frame; backlit, it turns into a glowing wall of leaves behind him.
He works it quiet - head bowed, eyes closed and face tilted up, a hand raised to his chest - the blazer parted the whole time to show the chains.
A second setup moves to a warm, wood-planked room lit by a single candle, a macrame tree sculpture on the wall and a potted plant glowing beside him. He sits on a wooden ledge, hands clasped, then leans forward with his forearms on his knees.
The last setup is the rope installation - twisted tendrils cascading from the ceiling, potted monstera at either side, Alpha part-hidden in the strands with a fist held to his sternum, staring the lens down.
The greenery-and-bare-chest look lands close to the artwork Alpha would use more than a year later for the "Scenes" single - shirtless, braided, head bowed among rocks and foliage. Forested Full Moons is an early, indoor run at that same image; the "Scenes" recap is where it finally went outside.
What "Forested Full Moons" means
The title points at wilderness - a forest, a full moon, the night an animal is most itself - and the shoot builds that feeling entirely indoors, out of potted plants, rope and candlelight. It is a forest you can rig in a room: controlled, lit on purpose, the wild kept behind glass and wood paneling. The wolf stands in the middle of it half-dressed and unbothered, treating the arrangement like real cover. In this world the pack answers to the moon whether or not there is one in the sky.
