May 15, 2026 (Nashville, TN) – Today, Nashville-based independent artist Alpha The Wolf releases his new single "Beams," accompanied by an official music video available now on YouTube. Produced by Japanese producer Yuto (@justyuto), the dark, atmospheric trap record arrives as the standalone lead single ahead of Alpha The Wolf's forthcoming album Nobody Likes When A Wolf Shows Up, due June 19, 2026. A self-directed force who has built an entire aesthetic universe — the VOID — across releases including Nyctophiliac, Frequencies, Into The Darkness, and Synchronicity, Alpha The Wolf now delivers his most focused, cinematic single to date with "Beams" — a record the VOID has been building toward.

Cinematic and unrelenting, "Beams" sits at the intersection of paranoia and inevitability. Built on sparse 808 construction, layered texture, and a tight 1:30 runtime, the production draws comparisons to ICYTWAT, WIFIISFUNERAL, and SNOT while carving out a sound entirely its own. The track chronicles the tension of federal surveillance — the weight of the streets, and the slow countdown to a confrontation that was always going to happen. The threat sits in every bar: "Racks on me, Racks on me / Feds been watchin', Tax on me."

"Just a fun lil' song about tax evasion," says Alpha The Wolf about the single.

The collaboration came together across borders. Alpha The Wolf reached out to Yuto in Japan specifically for this record — a creative leap that produced a beat both alien and inevitable, the perfect sonic backdrop for a story about being watched from all sides. Mixed and produced with the same uncompromising self-direction that defines the VOID catalog, "Beams" is Alpha The Wolf at his most deliberate — a record built to hit before the album arrives.
