Nashville-based independent artist Alpha The Wolf linked again with visual editor @shotbyclaudius for an unreleased alternate cut of the "Serp" music video - a second, different pass through the visual world of the 2025 album Nyctophiliac. "Serp" is a single off that record.
Where the original video plays it straight, this cut runs the same Nyctophiliac footage back through a glitch pipeline - VHS tracking errors, datamosh smearing, and heavy chromatic aberration bleeding the frame into red and blue. It leans into the thermal-glow, melting-chrome aesthetic that runs across the Serp artwork, sitting under the track's paranoid low-end weight.
It's the third ATW edit from @shotbyclaudius, after the Rurouni Kenshin Beams freestyle AMV and the Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade Moons edit. The alternate cut is self-hosted and viewable on the site now, ahead of a later unlisted upload to YouTube.
