Rooftop deck. Yellow Corvette. City behind.
By the time Loyal Entourage was shot, the show was already over. Alpha The Wolf drove to Chattanooga in March 2025 for a Da Underground Chattanooga date at Studio 58 - the same trip that produced Dragon Doors - and this is the last morning of the stay, checking out with time to spare. Eleven frames on the roof of the Hotel Clemons parking garage in hard, flat morning sun, built around the yellow C7 Corvette with its door open and rear hatch raised, worked in a black jacket over strapped cargo pants.
The backdrop shifts across the roll. Early frames put glass towers past the parapet, with Abigail Kwarteng - DJ Nana Yaa, along for the trip - crossing the deck behind him in a grey top. By the end the towers have given way to mountains and open country ranged along the horizon; one frame is just him and a whole forested ridge rising straight up behind the concrete wall.
The yellow C7 is the most repeated object in the catalogue. It runs from a lakeside boat ramp to a golden-hour strip-mall lot and eventually headlines its own single, "C7," shot at night with the hood and hatch thrown open. Here it just sits on a deck in the sun while the skyline does the rest.
It closes crouched low by the open hatch, head bowed, the buildings behind gone soft in the haze. Two posts from the trip: "Hop in, we've got evil stuff to do." (view the post) and "The voice of anguish is not alone; it echoeth unto the multitudes." Anguish - 2:1 (view the post).
What "Loyal Entourage" means
There is no entourage in these frames. One person passes through the background and that is it. The car is the entourage; the skyline is the audience. Everything the title promises is either parked next to him or spread out on the horizon.
Which is close to the point. Loyalty is what is still standing on an empty deck the morning after, checking out of a city that isn't yours, the show already played and nobody left to perform for but the skyline - the machine you keep running and the city you keep showing up to, entourage or no entourage.
