Alpha The Wolf Suits Up by a Highlighter-Yellow Corvette for "Daydreaming"

Highlighter Corvette. Green knit tie. Golden hour.

Catalogued at the start of January 2026 - the same weeks the "Rest" single opened the Into The Darkness cycle - Daydreaming plays as that record's tonal opposite. Nine frames shot at golden hour outside an event center near Murfreesboro, built around a highlighter-yellow Corvette convertible. Alpha The Wolf was there for a friend's wedding, not a shoot - he works a patterned cream shirt, a green knit tie, teal trousers and snakeskin brogues because that is what he'd worn to the ceremony.

The set has an arc. It opens formal and solo - perched on the wing, legs crossed on the bonnet, arms folded against the fender while a dark saloon idles alongside. Then Abigail Kwarteng - the same recurring collaborator who'd later assist on "Dirty Diana" and turn up in Flooded - joins in a black dress, and the suiting stops doing any work. Heads drop onto shoulders, sunglasses come off, and both of them end up laughing into the low sun with the car's black bonnet stripe running straight through the frame.

The sign in the background reads H3 - His Holy Hill Church, next door to the venue rather than the venue itself; the wedding was at the event center beside it. The car is a repeat. The yellow C7 Corvette runs through the whole catalogue, from a lakeside boat ramp to a bare parking deck, and eventually headlines its own single, "C7," shot at night with the hood and hatch thrown open. Here it just sits in the lot between a ceremony and a reception.

By the end it is all heads tipped back against the nose of the car, brogues and heels lined up on the asphalt, the last of the light doing the rest.

What "Daydreaming" means

Most of this catalogue is deliberate - a look built, a location scouted, a concept worked out before the shutter goes. Daydreaming is the exception. Nobody planned a shoot; a friend got married, the light was doing something worth catching on the way to the reception, and the Corvette happened to be parked right there. The wedding suiting and the convertible read like styling, but neither one was chosen for the camera.

It also reads as the light before the dark. Weeks later the same catalogue turns to blizzards and black coats for Into The Darkness. Daydreaming is the version of the wolf still in the sun at a friend's wedding, still laughing, before the season turns.
