Nashtyville Thursdays kept going on May 30th, 2024, back on the rooftop stage at Skydeck On Broadway - Nashville's largest rooftop patio & bar, on Level 3 of Assembly Food Hall at 5055 Broadway Place. LIGHTNING DEITIES is the 20-frame record of that night: yellow bomber with katakana printed across the back, strapped tactical cargos and boots, straight through the set and out onto the balcony once it wrapped.
It's the fifth Thursday in a row, the close of May's run before the residency goes quiet through most of June and picks back up in July. Twenty frames is four times what the glitch-processed set the week before produced - a full stage-to-balcony arc, shot like there was more of the night worth keeping than usual. Whatever was building through May, it hadn't leveled off by the time this month ran out.

Once the set wraps, the shoot moves out to the balcony - city lights blurred into bokeh behind the bomber's printed panels.
What "Lightning Deities" means
Five more freestyles with no home yet - "6-6-6," "Slurry," "Haha," "Lil Baby," "Gang" - bringing the running total across May's three documented shows to eleven unreleased records tested on this one stage before any of them had a place to live. That's the actual function of a residency like this one: not a release cycle, but a proving ground, week after week, in front of whoever showed up to a rooftop bar on Broadway on a Thursday night.
The balcony sequence at the end reads as a kind of exhale - the bomber's printed panels catching the city glow instead of stage light, the crowd noise presumably behind him rather than in front. Closing out May on a balcony overlooking the same skyline the rooftop set had been performing under all night isn't a coincidence; it's the same view from the other side of the show.
