Nashville, Tenn. — Sept. 8, 2024 — Alpha The Wolf will release his debut album, Forlorn, on September 20, 2024, the Nashville artist announced. Twelve tracks of trap-soul melody run through an R&B frame, written, produced, and mixed entirely by Alpha The Wolf himself — no label, no outside credits — and built around a year's worth of freestyles, three of which have already circulated as standalone singles: "Dior," "Dancer," and "Pain."
Forlorn adjective for·lorn fər-ˈlɔrn fɔr- : BEREFT, FORSAKEN : sad and lonely because of isolation or desertion : DESOLATE
Each of the twelve tracks peels back another layer of vulnerability, from the raw pain of betrayal to the bittersweet acceptance of solitude, riding sparse trap drums under melodic, R&B-leaning vocal takes. All three advance singles arrived as videos well ahead of the album — "Dior" at the end of June, "Dancer" the following week in early July, "Pain" a week after that — before the project that houses them had a title. Alpha The Wolf continues to perform live around Nashville and the Southeast as the release approaches.
