Floodwater. Plate carrier. Hummer headlights.
Flooded started as something else. Alpha The Wolf was shooting promo images for an upcoming release that hasn't been announced yet, near Two Rivers Skatepark off Two Rivers Parkway in Nashville, when a flash-flood warning broke over Middle Tennessee mid-session on Jul. 24, 2026 - unplanned, no window to reschedule around. Rather than pack it in, the shoot kept going. Twenty-two frames came out of it, moving from a black Hummer parked under an overpass to a running drainage channel to a flooded concrete underpass. Alpha works a black Fabric Of The Universe plate carrier and strapped tactical trousers, alongside returning collaborator Abigail Kwarteng - who'd previously assisted on the single "Dirty Diana" - and more loose cash than either of them can hold.
The set has an arc. It opens at the truck under a sodium-yellow overpass - a bill held to the ear like a phone, Abigail up on the chrome roof rack raining notes down onto the black bodywork, money frozen in the air in frame after frame. Then both of them go into the water and stay there, crouched in the current with the rain streaking the lens. The fit never changes and neither does the light: black rig, layered chains, an amber streetlamp doing all the work, everyone soaked through by the halfway mark.
The flood was not staged. Middle Tennessee came through a genuine flash-flood emergency in the second week of July 2026 - days of flood watches, close to 800 storm-related emergency calls in a single night, four water rescues including three people stranded in a boat on Percy Priest Lake as it filled with rain. This shoot ran into a later warning from that same pattern of storms, and instead of calling it, kept the plate carrier on and moved into the standing water it left behind.
Isaias (@isaiasc_stph) was on set helping document it, and posted from the night: "✌🏼🔥 book now @shotbyclaudius 🎥 #nashville_tn #tennessee #shooting📷 #videography" (view the post) - a plug for shotbyclaudius, the same Nashville videographer credited for cinematics on Blood Diamonds On Broadway and the site's AMV series.
Claudius (@shotbyclaudius) posted his own follow-up three days later, stepping in front of the camera himself and crediting the other half of the pairing: "The best editor✍🏾 in the vill picked up a camera 🎥 💯 nobody is touching me💪🏾💪🏾 Book me. Shout out to my bro @isaiasc_stph for the pics💯🥷" (view the post) - the two of them crediting each other back and forth in the same week this shoot happened.
The rig itself is a recurring costume. Fabric Of The Universe is a Los Angeles techwear label built on cyberpunk and Japanese-streetwear silhouettes - tactical vests, harnesses, strapped cargo - and Alpha has worn its lettering on stage for Assault Ops and through the Bad Sushi and Perimeters shoots. It wasn't picked for weather; it just happened to already be on.
It ends deep in the underpass, the Hummer turned to face the camera with its headlights blown out to white and the whole frame dragged into a long-exposure smear - two figures reduced to streaks across the front of the truck.
What "Flooded" means
The title runs both ways at once, but neither one was planned - that's the actual story. Flooded with cash at the truck, a set built for a release still under wraps; then standing in an actual flood a hundred feet on, because the weather didn't check the call sheet. Money is the thing that is supposed to keep you dry and water is the thing that does not care - shot on the same night, getting equally wet. In the wolf's scripture the VOID "opened its maw and promised to consume all," and a flood that shows up mid-shoot uninvited is that promise made literal. The response on camera was not to run. It was to keep the plate carrier on, hold the cash over your face, and finish the shoot in the water.
Whatever the release this was originally for turns out to be, its promo images now carry a flash-flood warning inside them. Flooded is what you get when the weather rewrites the plan and nobody stops rolling.
