Nashville, Tenn. — Apr. 18, 2025 — Alpha The Wolf will release a new standalone single, "Dirty Diana," on May 2, 2025, the Nashville artist announced. A melodic trap cut borrowing its title outright from Michael Jackson's own 1988 single, the record trades Alpha The Wolf's usual rap-and-hip-hop bark for a lighter, more overtly musical register — and marks one of the few times another name shares the credits: the track was recorded with an assist from @abigail_kwarteng_, a rare outside collaborator on a catalog built almost entirely solo.
About "Dirty Diana"
"Dirty Diana" follows Alpha The Wolf's sophomore album, Nyctophiliac, moving out of that record's cold rap-and-hip-hop palette and into melodic trap — a title borrowed to sit a Nashville record next to a pop landmark, on a bet the listener catches the reference before the first bar lands.
