Nashville, TN — Sept. 5, 2025 — By the time Frequencies arrived on August 22, two of its nine tracks had already been living their own lives for the better part of a year. "Round & Round" went out as a standalone single in November 2024; "Tekken" followed a month later in December. Announced in early August, the album that finally houses them both took its time getting there.
"Round & Round" arrived first, with a reel that undersold exactly how the song works: "This process is cyclic" (view the reel). The cover art backs that up literally — Alpha The Wolf rendered as a dark feathered wolf silhouette, howling into a vortex of black feathers against a full moon, a loop with no clear start.
"Tekken" followed a month later, and the rollout leaned all the way into the game reference — a reel captioned "King Of The Iron Fist," the actual name of the in-universe tournament the Tekken series is built around, tagged straight down to #arcade and #tekken (view the reel). It's a hard-hitting single, by design, named after a franchise built entirely around hitting hard.

What "Frequencies" means
Catch waves, not feelings — that's the whole ethos in four words, and the two posts that framed the album's return say the rest of it: "Catch waves, not feelings..." (view the post) paired against "I'm afraid of the noises coming from the dark" (view the post). Signal versus noise, and what you tune into versus what you let pass through you. Every track on Frequencies plays like a different station on the same dial — "Round & Round" relentless, "Blizzard" cold and deliberate, "Wicked" moving differently — nine tracks built to feel like scanning through channels while staying unmistakably on one signal throughout.
The months-long gap between the singles and the album isn't unusual territory for Alpha The Wolf — his debut, Forlorn, folded three pre-released freestyles back into itself the same way. Frequencies just let the gap run longer. It's streaming everywhere now, both videos live on YouTube.
