That means leaving things alone more than you'd expect. Not every track needs EQ. Not every vocal needs compression. If it was recorded right, the mix should be about balance — not surgery.
Width comes from arrangement, not from stereo tricks. If something feels narrow, the answer is usually to remove something, not to spread something wider.
